Any topic is fair game for either format; I wouldn’t count on topics only falling in one type of question or another when studying.

So Uppermark is wrong when they said that this topic will be only tested in the essay question format?! Ouch!!!

Just receive from Uppermark “Our faculty advises that Topic 1 will be tested in essay format on the CAIA Level II exam. The sample exam questions at the end of Topic 1 in the Level II Study Guide further indicate that the questions will be in essay format.” How’s right in this mess?

If you’re prepared to write an essay, then a surprise multiple choice shouldn’t pose a problem–I hope!
