I only know that in Macquerie research, I haven’t heard anything positive at all from people at that place
I had an interview there once back in the day. They never called me back.

Is that kind of interview process normal? Just in the UK? US? Canada? I’ve never tried to get into an research role so I honestly have no idea, but I’d like to know!
Good luck!
pokhim:
So i passed the 3rd round interview and had my 4th and final round today. I had to take a call from Singapore where the head of Credit was based and also London where a seperate head of Credit was based.
I think it went okay. Tried to emphasise that despite not being entirely experience in Banks Credit analaysis i am willing to learn and have a transferable skill set…They did ask me some pretty techinal questions…for example:
What is the biggest risk facing Turkish Banks right now?..I was stumped…but at least now I know the answer. They also asked me what I knew about Macquarie which thankfully was quite a bit…
Hopefully, hopefully I’ve got the job!! 5 interviews and having met 6 different people and completed a psycometric test… Its been hard but a good learning experience!!
How do you make time for the interviews? Do you take off work or do they accommodate your schedule?
Keeping my fingers crossed for you Pokhim!
Good luck to you pokhim!!

So, recruiter just called me…Apparently i’m the preferred candidate and an offer will be on the table in the next few hours once they’ve had a chance to chat to the BSD in charge…
I say, there is no offer until I sign…and there is dry ink!! So close my balls are blue and about to burst…x
Don’t be scared to negotiate a good deal. Your leverage will never be any higher.
