Anyone know the timing of expected approvals of work exp by the Toronto society? I heard they meet monthly to review applications, I wonder if they will take the full remaining 20+ days showing under the status section. thx
Lol I just posted the same thing in General. Hopefully the monthly part is soon if thats true. You would think they would meet more often right after the exam!
In the same boat - I’m at 28 days now, waiting on the Toronto society. I’m hoping their monthly meeting is coming up sooner rather than later 
They do meet once a month according to their website:
All applications (except associate) are first processed by CFA Institute then sent to the Toronto Society in a monthly batch. Applications are then reviewed by the CFA Society Toronto Membership Committee and submitted for approval by the Board of Directors at the monthly meeting. Approved applicants will receive notification by mail once their membership is activated. Once approved applicants will go online to pay their dues and sign their professional conduct statements (activating their membership). All activated CFA Society Toronto memberships are uploaded into CFA Society Toronto’s system bi-weekly, newly activated members will then receive notification by e-mail from CFA Society Toronto.
Kind of frustrating…countless hours of study, dreaming for the first day you’ll get to add the letters next to your name. All that anxiety pre-exam, post-exam, pre-result…and you would think it all comes to a stop once you receive your successful result. But hell no… the local society of course has to add an additional layer of uncertainty as to when exactly they’ll get to move their fat asses and approve what CFAI approved weeks ago.
And just after that rant… I got the activation email IT’S OFFICIAL wooohoooo!!!

Agreed, but even with the waiting period, I’d rather be in this boat than the alternative Congrats on getting your approval!
Im in Hong Kong and at 14 days to go now still waiting on local society approval
