Trade execution experience count?

just another work experience question…

i worked 2 of my 4 as a trade execution analyst executing deals in the market on behalf of our FM, i also produced up to date holdings and market value calculations of their portfolios as well as daily risk management of outstanding trades, making sure they were executed and booked to the system. (and other ad hoc portfolio related tasks)

can anyone advise whether they think this would qualify?

Yes, yes it will.

Look, there should be a sticky post about work experience. As long as you work for a financial institution in any capacity, you will pass the work experience requirement as long as you can argue that you “contributed to the investment process”. CFAI wants your money and has no incentive at all to fail anyone who has passed the tests.

these days almost everything counts…hell even one of our fund accountants in our fund has the charter.
