or us buys less shit. replace foreign goods with newly improved domestic industry. prolong full employment. increase wage growth. fuel our national net worth. and wreck havoc to our rival’s income that is dependent on their exports to us.
So you eeked out a profit on a high volatility trade that only works because of the exact day you claimed you bought and sold them. Riiiiiiight. Regardless, dumb trade although it does explain your YOLO-Wolf hysteria. Meanwhile US earnings trucking along.
So for those not following along, PA brags about his A50 futures contract he took on June 27. After rattling off some nonsensical tirade yesterday, today with A50 at -3.1%, he comes in claiming he closed out for a gain two days ago when the A50 was up a whopping 1.64%. Sorry for your loss, Fake News.
As a point of reference, back in first world civilization, the S&P gained 3.9% over that period so you underperformed regardless.
I’ve been running this trade for over a decade. Always works, always buy China dips, for the rest of this century.
Also, I made about 5% return (11,755/11,230). And as I posted elsewhere, I also bought China Railway around July12, which is now up 27%. You can review my individual A-share picks going back years on here, they are fantastic!
China is so cool, as usual they know exactly what they are doing.
“Calm down, fix your attitude. Yawn, yes we see your desperate tactics, and they won’t work. We have been preparing for decades. Threats do not work with China, mutual respect, give/take or no talks. You will shoot off your own foot. You will further destroy your global rep.” [paraphrased]
China understands that they have to train America. The US has to accept their new role in the changing world, they are no longer boss, multi-bosses.
I first came across SCMP when I was in Hong Kong eating a fancy restaurant that provided the newspaper as part of the meal. I’ve found some of their recent articles interesting:
How China’s policy may have them caught off guard by Trump
South China Morning Post is typical American propaganda (written in HK for the English market). This sort of garbage is all over Asia. It’s not true foreign news that tells you what other countries think (you need to read the foreign language papers). For this sort of thing, just watch CNN/FOX.
In South Korea too! Chosun Ilbo English edition and such.
The US has worked for decades to create a global brainwashing apparatus, yet they complain about foreign media’s influence in the United States?! Such arrogance.
“A group made up of the CEOs of 200 of America’s largest companies is urging the Trump admin to stop insisting Beijing reduce the trade gap. For decades, Beijing has relied on U.S. MNCs to be their lobbyists in DC.” —WSJ
What I still can’t figure out for sure, is if the S&P500 is actually behind restarting the Cold War, or if Trump is way out ahead, and now corporate pressure will build against him. I would imagine CN is wondering if they should wait and see if corps take down Trump.
Anyhow, they care correct that American “requests” never actually make any mathematical/logical sense. Let’s say China even wanted to do as ordered (they don’t), WTF would they do? Who the heck is even in charge in the US? In 2020, or tomorrow, America will say the exact opposite. This is always the problem here in Asia, with doing deals with chaotic America, there’s just no way because they are irrational.
CN can never do what is called for in that piece (give in), as the US extortion would never end. The mob always comes back for more (especially when the mob is financially failing). At some point you have to tell the mob to go to hell, and prepare for war.
