i am making a twitter account. who you guys follows. i know twitter is for smart people. the way tik tok is for thots.
I don’t follow anyone. I use lists and follow topics. It avoids a lot of the viral nonsense of Twitter and keeps my feed primarily the content coming from smart people. It is how I’d encourage you to use Twitter. Having people’s likes show up in your feed just pollutes it with partisan nonsense and signaling

When I had Twitter, I used to get into these big arguments about all kinds of hot topics; global warming, immigration, politics, economy and what not. Then I realized the platform is not meant for discussion but just for like-minded people to find each other to reinforce their bubbles!
Someone once said that arguing on social media is like special Olympics; even if you win, you’re still retarded!* I think that’s pretty accurate.
