N = 10 PMT = 100 FV = 1000 I/Y = 8 getting PV of -1,769.59 correct is -1,134.20 tried clear TVM, but did not help…other settings? thanks, John
I get problems like this all the time. I always press CLR TVM about 10 times and also CLR WORK in the the bottom left (2nd function of the CE/C key). Try that.

Don’t forget to check what mode you’re in. If you’re in BGN mode I *think* you get different results for some TVM questions. I remember having this problem myself a few weeks ago and I needed to consult the manual for the calculator to change it back (I can’t remember how to do it now). In any eventuality you can just press the Reset button on the back of the calculator about 2/3 of the way down (use a pencil or something like that). If that doesn’t solve your problem…then I have NO idea. PS. I hate this calculator. I got mine about 3 weeks weeks ago and still can’t use it properly. I need to get on that asap.
Confirm the following: (1) P/Y = 1 (2) C/Y = 1 Both can be check by pressing 2nd + P/Y and the down arrow.
