In light of recent attacks on the U.S. electrical grid, 1) how do utilities/gov’t/etc improve physical security of the most important sites, and 2) what stocks do we buy to profit?
I read somewhere, can’t find the article now, that only 11 substations would need to go offline for a nationwide blackout. That’s probably a bit of fear mongering exaggeration, but the vulnerability is concerning. My family would be fine, as in the words of the great dialectician Hank Williams Jr., “a country boy can survive,” but I’d worry about some of you city slickers.
