I wish! Study hard guys!
Yep, 1 page both sides
and the books too if you want
I am not sure where you guys dreamed up the info on the cheat sheet… here is the personal belongings policy from CFA: The following items are not permitted in the testing room: Food or drinks Baggage of any kind including transparent bags, backpacks, handbags, tote bags, briefcases, luggage, carrying cases, or pencil cases Study materials including notes, papers, textbooks, or study guides Scratch paper, present/future value tables, or calculator manuals Highlighters, correction fluid, correction tape, or rulers Knives of any type, including box cutter and X-ACTO® knives for use as pencil sharpeners Cell phones, MP3 players, BlackBerrys®, cameras, pagers, headsets, computers, electronic organizers, personal data assistants, or any other remote communication or photographic devices Any type of desk clock or timer
That’s outdated information, CFAI changed the rules as of Jan 1, 2008.
would i be able to bring in my iphone? It has the HP financial Calculator, authorized for the exam, as one of the programs on my iphone…
With the ever increasing populatity of CFA in the industry (and out of the financial industry, huh!!) as per the new rules effective FY Mar 06, they started accepting candidates with good GMAT scores only. The avg GMAT score of the batch that gave CFA-L1 this Dec-07 was 690 (avg age being 29) but heard they are going to make it even more difficult this time on?

I got a little dvd player for Xmas.

Please provide me the reference on the amended rules…

I was even thinking of sweet talking the old bag out front into giving me a passing score so I don’t have to bother taking the exam at all!
I’m terrible! I kept seeing things like, “Do we need to know ALL these formulas? What kind of calculator should I buy? Is Schweser enough to pass? etc” and decided to make a smart a$$ post! Once everyone is settled, I hope to see more intelligent posts directed to passing level 1.
KJH, it would been cool if this thread was started in ‘Jokes ONLY Zone’ or something alike… It’s just far too easy for some of the poor souls out there to be misled (big time), and subsequently tarnish the intentions originated by the people who started this forum. But hey do whatever man, it’s after all a public forum and you are welcome to start whichever discussion ya like!
I’m hoping no one took it serious after the 3rd reply. Hopefully it brought a few laughs, I’m not intending to mislead anyone.
I think that if you can’t figure out that you’re not allowed to bring a cheat sheet on your own then you have no business giving financial advice to anybody. But hey, that’s just my opinion :).

Kudos to KJH!
Yeah, I almost got tricked by the same types of posts last year. So now its my turn… hahah
OMG! I really was about to type " Serious? Cheat sheets are allowed for 2008!!" Haha, that really gave me a good laugh! Oh well, NOTHING else is allowed except your eraser, pencils, approved calculator and exam ticket (nothing written on the paper)
