When i’ve previously interviewed with wealth managers I have generally received very positive feedback but ulitmately there was someone else who was a little better. However a couple of times I have been told that they were concerned about my committment to WM and saw me more as someone who wanted to get into AM.

How can I change this perception in interivews? I think it will be difficult to get a good answer for this one as no-one has seen me interview but can anyone relate to this and offer any advice?

When speculatively applying to WMs, should I send my own research into a stock or should I reserve this for AM applications?
Also just for the record, I do have a preference for AM but the WMs I interviewed with I would have taken the job in an instance.
