CFAI text, Vol 2, Reading 17, P214~215

What is the " TBD" in Exhibit 9 ? Is it that the abbreviation of " to be determined ( unknown )" ?

_ T _o _ B _e _ D _etermined: a mortgage-backed security pool that hasn’t been issued yet. Thus, its characteristics – WAC, WAM, and so on – haven’t yet been established.

What’s that doing in an Econ reading?

It shall be that those figures were still unknow when the author wrote the reading, hence they were marked as “TBD”.

I’m an idiot: I was thinking of “TBA”: _ T _o _ B _e _ A _nnounced. That’s the mortgage thing.

TBD means “to be determined”.

It’s late; I’m going to bed.
