I would quite like to use a Qbank on my computer rather than trawling through the CFA EOCs on my first review (I will use those closer to the exam).
Which is the best Qbank for CFA L3 on the computer? I don’t hear good things about Schweser.

I’d say the real value in a Qbank is the volume of questions and whether you can print out customized quizzes. If you can rip off a bunch of questions every day (20 during each weekday during work, 50 or 100 in the evening), it’ll serve you well.
The other consideration is whether you do it on the screen or in print. I’d recommend printing the quizzes out and doing it on paper, since that’s the format you’ll take the exam in.
Finally, if you set the Qbank software to display answers, then you get the explanation right away instead of waiting until later when you’ve forgotten the question entirely.
EOC/BB >>> Qbank.
Dont waste your time on Qbank.
I agree with cgy5478 that don’t waste your time on Qbank. They are irrevelant on level 3. Definitely do past exam in the last 5 years, both morning AND afternoon. I cannot stress enough that the offical mock exam is a must do/review if you don’t have time for anything else.
Trust me, there will be enough practice if you just did EOC/BB, past 6+ years AM papers (2~3 times each), and past PM mocks. There is no time to be wasted on 3rd party “Qbanks” as it adds very little marginal value.
Practice exam taking skill too
Yes of course the mock exams and CFAI EOC’s are better for Level 3 as there’s short answer Q’s, just like there will be in the actual exam. In my opinion, to tell someone not to waste their time on Q-bank…in January… as a way to reinforce the concepts and aide in direct preparation for the OTHER HALF of the exam which is mult. choice, is just flat-out wrong. Bottom line, the more questions you can do, the better. Training your brain to recall information with multiple methods is an effective way to learn.
OP: If you can, squeeze in some Q-bank as your move along and dont neglect completely as others have suggested. Even just short 10 or 20 Question quizes take very little time and can only add to your knowledge base. It also is quite handy to see the statistics on areas you’re obviously stronger, and areas where you’re weaker. Your mind may play tricks on you when you try to recall in your last couple weeks of studying which areas you should focus on. There’s probably a behavioural bias that would explain it… haha. Good luck!
You do not need to “preprare” for the PM. I have yet to meet an individual who aced the AM and failed the PM miserably. More commonly, candidates aced the PM and failed because they were not adequately prepared for the AM.
The more you preprare for the AM, the more likely you do well in the PM and pass. Ydo not want to diverge your focus to 3rd party Qbank questions that are very one dimention and do not prepare you for the AM. Use the EOC/BB/Past AM to understand how a question is asked and how it should be asnwered for AM
If I had to retake it, I would skip 3rd party notes completely and just write/drill EOC/BB, AM papers, and PM Mocks EVERYDAY. You will be surprised by how your hand plays tricks on you on exam day as you start writing that first sentence.
Good luck
Agree to disagree. What do you mean by damage control?
