Top schools don’t make people smarter. Top schools attract smart people and from well-connected families. If you are a born business leader, you will be successful, no matter if you have a degree from HBS or Michgan state university.
life at a school like this runs the risk of putting you in a little bubble. people drill into you that you are there to change the world, that everything is possible. after you graduate, you realize, hey, it was only 2 people from my class who were meant to change the world, i and the other few hundred need to change our 401k size and be ready for a fart-filled retirement just like the state school MBAs. but if you can get in, sure, go do it. the food/drinks/partying is pretty good. [the girls definitely, most certainly are NOT]
