I started studying for the CFA a month ago, and I just finished all of the material of Quantative Methods as that seemed to be the main area I would struggle with and I wanted to get it out of the way.
I’ve heard that the CFA exams puts more “weight” on the Ethics than the numbers implied. Should I start studying this straight away or continue onto Economics and come back to this later?
Study it last to keep it fresh, but make sure you leave enough time because it won’t be intuitive at all. It is a challenging section that deserves respect. Don’t fall into the trap of “I’ll study it last if I have the time…”.
As astewart said, read the whole thing twice. It’s only 150 pgs or something like that. I would read it towards the beginning of your studies and again in the last week prior to exam. Ethics is by far the hardest topic in my opinion and also weighted at 15%.
