Has anyone recently used or is currently using Wiley for Level 3 for Dec 2020 or May/Aug/Nov 2021 and if yes how are you finding their study guides and pre-recorded videos?
I am aware that Dave H is now on board as lead L3 instructor and I think they recently updated a lot of the videos — just trying to find out who the instructors are for each topic apart from Dave H and Darren M. I like them both but their trial only provides a small sample so I can’t tell who else is involved with the pre-recorded lectures or their weekly Virtual Classroom sessions (which come w/ gold pkg and above).
There is typically a full schedule by Study Session published here https://www.efficientlearning.com/cfa/product-availability-schedule/ however it does not look like they have published it for L3.
Anyway, having already requested said lists from Wiley just wanted to see if anyone has recently used them for L3 and can comment.
Really going to miss the PO/Basit combo available throughout L1/L2 because the two of them typically worked right out of the Wiley study guide which made it fairly seamless to read / take notes right in the book during the videos…especially when working the BB examples which were brought into the study guide, I found it made for one thorough source of complete notes that I could refer to when getting into final review / practice questions etc, which worked well for me personally.
This might be instructor preference but from the trial it seems they are now moving away from that and instead opting for condensed slides which I’m less excited about…also not gonna lie I feel kinda lost without PO around on L3…went 4/4 with the PO/Gearty combo for Becker CPA in '08 and now 2/2 on L1/L2 Wiley so far…looks like I’ll be doing this last one without ya bud… “you know more than you think you know”
