I am on chapter 2 and will be halfway through chapter 3 by Sunday night. I am doing the study guide and questions. The last two weeks I am going to revise and do the practice exam over and over and over and over again.
Do you think that will be enough?
I am going to do about 300 hours of studying, how many hours are you guys doing? I am doing L1
I think it is more than enough. My colleagues who finished the program last year told me 150 hours for level 1 is enough. I have been studying for one month now and putting in about 10 hours per week. I am currently reading the Hedge Funds section. I will be done with the readings by late February, which will leave me with three weeks to review and practice questions.
This exam seems quite easy compared to any level of the CFA and FRM. The amount of material is substantially less compared to the other designations, which makes it very manageable. Good luck!
I am doing so much studuying because, I cant afford to fail, the exam is waaaayyyy expensive in South Africa with the dollar to rand exchange rate. So I should be good thats excellent!!!
for level 1 i studies 50 hours and passed… for level 2 i studied 100 hours and failed :(…
on the exam i actually ran out of time and left 10-15 questions blank by accident. (I meant to fill in those by guess but the clock went to zero)… possibly would have passed with an extra 5 points
