Submitted my workex and references to CFAI yesterday, they approved nearly in a heartbeat. Was expecting a longer process at this time of year. Let’s see how fast the local society turns around…

Mine was approved by CFAI and local society yesterday. About 2 hours after I submitted. Very impressed.

CFAI approved mine in 2 days but local society told me I have to wait until EOM. 
Why is local society important? Isn’t CFAI approval all we care for? I was talking to the local president here and he said the society has no bearing on your charter, just a club of sorts.
This is not CFA Montreal by any chance? Just so I don’t bother calling them for nothing today.
