Also, what is required of my references? Need to know so I can ask the appropriate persons. Do they need to answer questions about my role specifically? Any details will be helpful

Your reference will receive an email with a link where they will answer 4 questions, 3 of which are yes/no, and one where they are asked how your work contributes to an investment process (which is the CFA defenition of relevant work experience).

I’ve seen a lot of advice on looking at LOS’s and referencing them etc. I think that’s overkill. I got all my jobs approved with a couple of sentences. Each job you hgave to answer two questions. What is is that you do / produce? How is that used in the investment process? The majority of my work was not directly in investments but the results of my work is used to make investment decisions.
Worked out fine for me. Important part is to make it clear how your work product influences the investment decision. I made it very clear, described my work in detail and was approved.
