Romanian deadlift
As stated above its romanian deadlifts, they wont pressure your abs but will work the core area ,and also very good excercise for lower back
squats, deadlifts, rows, military press or any other decent compound exercise will do ur abs more good than crunches and leg lifts
esp front squats.
The thing is, and i agree with everything being said about compound lifts working your core, those who aspire to have a ‘10 pack’ or put as their priority abs, wont get the results they are looking for. Though this doesnt fit my regiment, those people may be better off doing a bodybuilding program where everything is built for pysique instead of funcationality or power.
What i like to do is add ab exercises into my routine every 2-3 days. What i do is built not to hurt your lower back so ill do birddogs, supermans, swimming, medicine ball rollouts.
Bottom line is, whether you do ab exercises in isolation or train your core through the big lifts, the definition of your abs will be more of a product of diet & intensity rather than exercise.
Strong abs and abs you can see for a six pack are two different things. You have to get the body fat down to make that six pack shine
when i picture RR, i do not see a man with abs.
^ You stole the words from my mouth.
offcourse getting your body fat low is the key to visible 6 pac but the things is isolations dont do much for your abs. rectus abdominus is a small muscle which doesnt have much potential for hyperterophy…in other words your lats can grow too big, your abs cant
^ You basically said what I said by using more glamorous words.
sorry,i had actually only read the last 3-4 odd posts in this thread(and offcourse the post of the OP), and yes ur right
Get used to it. I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t.
but when I picture abs, I see RR.
I don’t need to work out my abs, I just rub them and picture RR.
I agree. I was a college athlete but during my work on the sell side I started to let myself go, expense dinners at the office and ultimately became somewhat of a McFatty. But then I started training for triathlons and so did a combination of muscle building and fat burning. I also drank a lot of water and cut out all sodas, snacks and other bad carbohydrates. In six months I went from no pack to six pack. Maintaining it is hard though but once you’re in a regular exercise routine, it’s not as tough as it looks. People definitely respect you more when they see you taking care of your health. All my colleagues know it, but not quite as well as my former institutional sales lady at Barclays jk… maybe Key takeaway is that you can build your abs full of muscles but if you want definition, you have to shed all the excess fat.
Most Ab Workouts are useless,If you want abs
- Eat Clean and Drink Lots Of Water
- Deadlift&Squat Heavy with Proper Form
- Do HIIT
- Take 12gr of L-Arginine (This will help your penis work better after you get the abs)
Hope It Helps
