Would love to get some feedback on how people balanced their work schedules and study time. What strategy worked best for you? Unfortunately, studying at work wasn’t an option for me. Work hrs from abt 8 - 7 pm on a regular day, month end brings in a week of late nights. My study schedule varied…I’d either wake up apt 4.30 am and got some reading before heading off, or head to library after the day was done. And weekends of course. In either case my retention was horrible, I think the only solution was to start hitting the books earlier. 5 months of that wasn’t enough for me.
I had a similar work schedule, but gave up my weekends for like 4 months. I also had 5 days PTO for the exam though.
I could at work here and there and late weekday evenings after the gym. Saturdays were usually marathon study days for me.
Start studying earlier, that’s what I did. I started reading in Sept. and made sure to have everything done by year-end. This way Jan through May was nothing but review and doing questions. The earlier you start the less hours you have to study per night or early morning.
Ye, agreed. I should’ve done that. Instead I started studying about January, thinking it was plenty of time for L1. That was naive and careless. But I guess we learn from our mistakes. Ugh.
