Would you study for Level II exam with 2013 material??

Hi everyone,

I passed 2013 level 1 exam on June, and now I want to get started with level 2 for June 14. The thing is I have Kaplan study guides for 2013 level 2 exam, and I dont know if I need to buy 2014 guides or is it ok with the old ones.

Thanks for your advice,

Good look to everyone who did the exam this december!

You’re welcome, best of luck!

Many people (including yours truly) have used last year’s material to pass this year’s exams.

Just make sure that there wasn’t a big change in the material. For example, the Behavioral Finance section did a complete overhaul in 2012. If you used last year’s materials, it would have been useless. However, that is fairly infrequent and usually not going to be enough to significantly change your grade.

There’s an addition of two readings in Equity Valuations, one in Alternative Investments and two in Portfolio Management in the 2014 curriculum for Level 2

You can read the detailed changes in LOS here:

http://www.passingscorefinance.com/LOS/2013-2014/Level2LOS2014.pdf

you can pull it off. I am doing it this year (i failed the first time around)

You could find a study group and read your 2013 material and then ask your partners for help on any of the changes or just ask to read those pages specifically.

Thank you all for your advice,

I have 2013 schweser material, so Ill study that, and as you said, i will read the curriculum los that are not in this material.

Thanks a lot,

PS. Is anyone here from Mexico? So we can study this exam together?
