I always wondered about the average age of people who are pursuing the designation and especially people who are about to become a charterholder.
It tells you a lot about the credibility of the designation and how senior experts and individuals with more experience in finance take CFA seriously.
My observations are limited to the three times I took the exam and candidates in the test center on average were in their late 20s.
32 yr old male with 3 kids.

Turning 30 at the end of this month, mind you I did my MBA before jumping into the CFA program. I know from my local CFA society’s latest survey that the average age of a charter holder is 39.7 in my country.
