Why are you surprised? These sorts of odd terrorist events happen regularly (and nobody is sure of the details on the package bombs). As I often point out, people get shot in Chicago in double digit amounts every holiday weekend using non-ARs and lib media doesn’t bother. I’ve said this multiple times, racist libs only care about black people when its an election cycle. But as soon as some lilly white kid gets dropped its an epidemic. It wasn’t republicans that blew the Florida shooting into a media frenzy and use every instance with an AR to further a straw man agenda and they don’t live under the delusion that making AR’s illegal (like bombs) will do anything to curb hateful acts of violence by lunatics.
Also, people aren’t worked up because all any body knows at this point is that some bombs went off, full stop. The intercept is quality reporting though, longest running streak of headlines containing the word “white” like a liberal stormfront.

My point was pro-gun folks like to say that bad people will do whatever it takes to kill others (i.e., bombs, truck attacks, knives, whatever) and that even if you “ban guns” these deaths will still happen so it is actually genuinely surprising to me that I haven’t seen this argument made in this case.

I got what you’re saying but the point’s been made after the car attacks in France and NYC and after other bomb attacks. I’ve raised the issue after the Nice attacks among others and the overwhelming lib response each time was nearly verbatim “how classless to use a fresh tragedy to push your agenda.” For whatever reason the pro gun types don’t feel a knee jerk to make the point largely because it’s already been made, the pro-gun types accept it and the gun control types apparently don’t. Also, tbh the numbers are so low that the current attacks just don’t really make a solid counter argument to AR mass shootings which occur on a different scale.
My sentence about the bombs is factual. There is very little information out there at this point about what actually occurred (although no shortage of speculation). I think most people are waiting to see what if anything comes out. I don’t understand the rush to reach a conclusion on something that will probably take some time to get to the bottom of. Yes, the victims were black and that could possibly indicate a hate crime. It also may have nothing to do with it. The fact that an apparently skilled bomb maker is going after seemingly arbitrary targets from a church one at a time and apparently self delivering the bombs is just odd.
If my sentence was absurd could you correct me using verified facts?
