Ace's Training Thread.....(not for snowflakes)

ACE, my dear, I on board with your sentiment… but you misspeak about the “best athletes” pushing to collapse day after day. If they did so they would not be the best athletes. They would be broken down endocrine challenged over-trained hot messes (just as David Goggins). Everyday training for the best in the world is about discipline, self control and strategic effort. Collapse is reserved for special occasions

Yeah that’s what I meant KMD … as much as possible!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Cool ACE… high 5

I bet you do swoop down into those planks most gracefully … no hint of crazy!

I’m thinking of doing two cycling races before the 9/9 mile.

Sunday August 26th

Metric Century (62 miles)

https://www.active.com/elizabethtown-nc/cycling/the-grape-escape-2018?int= Sunday September 2nd Century (102 miles)

https://www.active.com/savannah-ga/cycling/races/ledesma-sports-medicine-savannah-century-2018?int=72-3-A2 I struggle to find roads that give me long periods of sustained and consistent endurance in my area. I think these two races should provide me with a medium to train. My goal is the 9/9 mile through peaking around 9/2 in cycling. I think the 102 mile distance cycling is a bit off in terms of what I need on the 9/9 mile, but will try to use the course to fit my needs rather than simply go for time. I’m probably going to be doing stand up intervals and not being aerodynamic when everyone else is crouched over and very tight in a typical cycling position. My dietary and hydration needs come into play here more than anyone else in these two races and I will probably focus heavily on that so as not to go for heavy distance without proper nutrition/fuel. If I feel I need to eat for 20 minutes or something, I’ll sit there and eat. Should be fun though - I’m glad I found these two events as centuries are rare and it is hard to find good ones close by.

If you don’t actually have a tapeworm it sounds like your body may be inefficient at storing/utilizing energy.

Bro, if you go to the gym six times a week and just go in there and walk on the treadmill, yeah you’re going to burn 2500 cal per day.

You cannot comprehend the level of intensity in my workouts. Try one exercise. One. Jump rope to AC DC back in black which is 190 BPM for ONE song length. In fact, do that song and then 10 eight count body builders and go back to jump rope at 190 BPM for 4min on Back in Black. How long can you do this for? 1min? 5min? 10min?

Probably 20 fucking seconds.

I do circuit training for hours. I am a machine. I need jet fuel.

My output corresponds with my fuel intake. Somehow you cannot comprehend my output even though I post tons of info on my data and circuits. I can even start posting my heart rate charts too.

You’re just not on my level and cannot comprehend what it takes to get here, so it must be tapeworm, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, consider my strength ratios on dumbbells. 176lbs, 40-50lb curl, 60-70lb one arm standing Arnold press, 90lb bench neck with raised, 100lb flat bench with head on bench, 110lb lat pull, etc.

Where do you think I get the fuel for this output?

How would I possibly have such significant output without a significant amount of fuel?

Also, the amount of muscle I have and low amount of fat only add to an increased burn rate.

Ace you and Turd are my heroes . Keep up the good work.

Manny Pacquiao’s Conditioning Coach: ‘Manny Has To Ingest Up To 7,000 Calories Every Day’

lol thanks SCB, appreciate the support

Dude you’re not in the same league as Manny. Speaking of calories I’ve been to a few Thai Camps back in my prime days and those guys eat max 18 calories per day. I honestly don’t know how they manage to live on so few calories and most train 6 hours every day . Those gu

I never said I was. In fact, me quoting his calorie burn rate versus mine pretty much stated that I am not in his league, but we follow the same rules. I’ve been averaging 4500-5000 or so lately at 176-183lbs. Pacquiao was 146lbs burning 7000. Do you know what I’m saying, meng?

My tools for battle:

(aka the crew)

2007: @ around 192lbs ~ 3000-3500 cal per day strength was much less, slower, could break 6min mile and considered ‘fit’ by society, but no where near the output that I am now. The exercises I did then in the gym wouldn’t even be hard enough for my current warmup.

^ same bike , same setup

I planned to go more vegan by this point in training and to do intermittent fasting, but my calorie intake is higher with the 2/days and can’t really intermittent fast right now and still I seem to be dropping weight.

The makeup and composition of my body is shifting to more of a cycler’s build and at this point I’m somewhat ok with dipping to 168lbs minimum. Not sure where it will end up, but recently have felt my quads really lighting up in training and expect my endocrine system to make another shift soon to a higher burn rate (metabolism) and my first shift will probably be to 172lbs from 176lbs, losing some muscle mass and gaining speed.

I’m looking for a good training pool. I wish I had access to this one downtown. @ Charleston Place. Sick. |

Lol.
