finishing qbank?

do you guys really think you’ll finish schweser qbank? i’m 40% done now. i am going to into practice exams really soon. i just don’t know if i’ll be able to do all these questions by then. this question adds little value, but i’m curious. unless i take more time off work, there is just no way!

I only installed it few weeks back and just started doing the questions. Just done with 500+ questions, it will take me forever to do all 3776. Work is getting more brutal day-by-day, travel addes to the misery. I feel I might miss the target of 7th. sigh!

I think I finished last year (or came extremely close anyway), but I’m not going to get it done this year. 31% complete at this point, but that leaves 2,673 questions with only 41 days left. That’s 60 odd questions per day. Not impossible but I’ve got to do practice exams, etc. all along that time as well. I’m sure I’ll complete more than 50%— maybe even 70%. But no way even close to the whole thing this time.

definitely won’t finish it. i’m at 1040 q’s starting the day. my plan is study this coming week and next weekend, then sometime probably during that 1st full may week start practice tests. i’m hoping to bang out another 400-500 q’s before i hit practice tests. i figure i’ll probably get through about 2k questions by test time. good, not amazing, hopefully i’ll learn something along the way. this AM i might bite the bullet and try to take another read through swaps before hitting qbank later today. i am bad at derivatives. bad bad bad.

same here…i’ve done about 1200 odd questions…around 32% of the qbank…hoping to get to atleast 70% or so… wanna do all the practice exams from Book 6 for sure…then if i have more time i’ll hammer on on the qbank…highly doubt that i’ll have that much time though…u know…unless i continue studying after june 7th…

I won’t even be close. I wish I could but I will be lucky if I get about 40% done.

if that’s the case …i would straightaway work on the difficult questions…i’ve been doing a miz of easy, intermediate and difficult…but if you feel you’re short on time…might as well do the toughest ones!

And crush what little confidence I have?

Don’t want to sound like a nerd here…but I am almost done. One of the reasons that I have been close to finishing is that I go very fast (which is a concern of mine going into the exam that I make a lot of foolish mistakes. I have done all but the SS 6 questions…average score of 74% total. Weak areas SS 17 -57% SS 7—60% SS 10–65% Stronger Areas SS 15 77% SS 14 78% SS 1/2 78% SS 3 81% I do agree with mumukada to focus on the difficult ones to get as many of the six question vignettes as possible…I have been doing 60 questions tests topic by topic and you normally pick up an average of 3 of these per 60 question set.

speaking of that. do you guys know of a way to create a test including only the vignettes? that would be helpful but i don’ think there is a way.

i have only done 21%… i will work on it 2 more weeks (probably getting 40% done by then) and stops… fully focus on bk6 and cfai practice exam

I’m 45% done. I want to hurry up and finish so I can just review my wrong answers.

cfasf1, if you go to “test management”, create an exam and select just “difficult” questions then it will be 100% vignettes…

nice. thanks spin.

I have stopped at 1500 for some times. I did first 2 exams in book 7. There are some weird ones but overall I think it is worthwhile to do it. Simply have no time to finish everything, maybe try to do another 1000 at most. Agree that should focus on CFAI exam and book 6 from now on.

CFASF1 have you done all the Questions in the CFA material? I haven’t touched all of those yet but I need to. I’m just now starting to get to that. I’m only 1500 questions in to the test bank but hopefully I’ll get through the rest.

funny you mention that GM. i started out the day saying i will do all the questions in the cfa corporate finance book and when i’m done with that, i was going to do some of the derivatives questions. corp. finance, easy, shouldn’t take long right? no. there are so many vignettes and multiple choice questions in that book, i only got through 2/3 of them in 4 hours. i got stuck on economic income. there’s a whole vignette on economic income and mva by the way, that just kicked my a$$. it shouldn’t have, but i hadn’t read the thing in forever. i’ve got to think they are going to test corp finance pretty extensively after going through that book! i also finished off the fsa text questions. not nearly as many vignettes in that one. but didn’t do as well as i had hoped on those either. my confidence is pretty low right now. out of every vignette, i’m figuring you have to hit 4/6 on half and 5/6 on the other half to get a comfy 75% on the test… i’m just not there. i know there’s plenty of time but when i saw economic income questions today, i freaking froze. i’m a mess now, watch when i take a practice exam. lol. anyway. long answer to a short question. sorry. i’m stressed out.

I’m in your same boat but a little further behind. Trying to power through Quant and actually feel good about my progress with the Test Bank. Getting around 80% scores which is pretty good for Quant for me. (not my strongest area). Then comes the CFA questions and I’m getting a$$ raped with some of their problems. Taking too much time to go through them and seeing stuff that I hadn’t rembered coming across before. (Ex. of that stupid question 12 on page 261 and 262 of the CFA book) Not turning into a good evening as I’m trying to power onward. I agree with you on the Corp Finance. I have some blank pages in my notes that I have to revisit because my first pass at it was so shotty. Specifically the economic income and some of those long examples. 40 days doesn’t seem like that much time. How much are you going to try and study per day in the home stretch?

i’m done with 1,040 questions. I’m going to do a few tests with mixes of intermediate and advanced questions but then I will switch to advanced only. i’d like to finish all advanced quesitons by June.

I am hating reading these threads. I so wish my studying hadn’t been interrupted and I was reviewing too. I still have SS 13 from Equity, all of Derivatives, Ethics and Econ to go. Then I can start reviewing (if you want to call it that because I feel like I don’t remember anything).
