10am to 5pm …wow, SWEET!
No kidding. McDonald’s order clerks would kill for those hours.
I jog a mile around my neighborhood every weekday morning, it usually takes me between 10 - 11 minutes. I jog 2 miles around my neighborhood after work Tue - Th, that usually takes me around 22 - 23 minutes. On Monday evenings a friend of mine, in MUCH better shape than myself, comes over and we do some striking and grappling via instructional videos. I’m not particularly competitive, but it’s fantastic cardio. I try to go to a gym by my office at lunch to do weights 3 days per week. Due to time constraints I only have time for four exercises, 3 - 4 sets per exercise.
11 min/mile is somewhat slow, no?
He’s just jogging…probably just wants to get his heart rate going early in the morning, and/or building his aerobic base. I run a mile in about 6 minutes, and that’s when I really want to push myself. My jog rate is closer to 10 minutes because I find it more leisurely and enjoyable, and there might also be some distractions too (cars, small dogs, co-eds, etc.)
i just wanna say that you cannot do P90X and study for a CFA exam at the same time. thanks.
My jog rate is about 9 mins now. Not too long ago it was probably 11. If I really push myself I can pull off low 6min miles without a problem. Lately I have been doing intervals on the treadmill. I set it for 30 mins with two speeds that alternate every two minutes. First speed is a 10 min mile pace the second is a 7:30 min pace. It’s nice to switch it up, as I find the time goes by much faster than if I were to keep it at one solid pace the entire time. Once the interval is done I’ll briskly walk a half mile at a 14 min pace to cool down. If your gym is equipped with treadmills that can change elevations it is fun to throw in elevation changes every now and then. Try tackling a sub 10 min mile at a 6% grade… feels like you are running in sand. When I first began messing with the grade settings I found that I was not in as good of cardio shape as I had thought… gassed very quickly.

I just did my 2 mile run in 19:17 with a dog that stopped 4 times. I can comfortably say that without a dog my time would have been in the 18:30 range. I could probably do it faster if I wanted to, but I would also be less motivated to go out and do it.
My long distance jogging pace is between 8:00 to 8:30 per mile. For some reason if I jog any slower than that I actually get more tired than if I maintained that pace.
I readmill for 40 mins, around 4.5 miles, incline 1.0, burning around 550 calories. Peak heart Rate is ~198. Later 1 hr goes in crunches/abs and light free weights. I workout daily weekdays, from 5 to 7 PM at the office gym. Recently started L2 preparation, but I think I will contunie with this routine as those are the 2 most happy and productive hours of the day. Sometime I stretch a bit more on treadmill burning around 850 cals. I want to run a mini marathon for the 1st time and need suggestions on how to improve stamina and endurance. I don’t think I can complete a 25K.
You’re able to burn 300 extra calories by stretching?? If I were you I would patent that routine and sell it to all the fat people in the world who are trying to lose weight without putting in the effort.
Nopes JTLD - I think I did not convey it properly. I mean I run for 65 mins and burn 850 cals.
I work out at lunch, but nothing will ever come close to my time in another job. Woke up at 5 am, went for run outside, went to work, worked out at 5pm, 6 days a week. Best shape of my life
I work out after office hours.I hit the gym by 8.30 pm and workout till 10pm,am quite regular with my workouts.Cardio three times a week, weight training 4-5 days.Guys, must tell you this whole thing is a major stress buster.I also flaunt 4 packs, working on last 2 packs though!!- All the best with your workouts!
I am contemplating working out at lunch hrs after 1st April as this crappy L2 is nearing. But which company gives a 2-hr lunch break?.. lol

This is what i am attempting to do, i hate it, but i love it. My study schedule has completely gone down the tubes in the last month…were talking complete crash, i need to get thing going again.
I just googled P90X. Are you guys being serious or are you joking, I honestly don’t know. If you are being serious, what makes these exercises dvds different from 8 minute abs, arms, et cetera?

Give it a shot and you’ll see what’s up. I can almost guarantee you will not be able to finish the first day.
p90x is tough, for shizzle
