Still struggling with Essay questions. My mind just goes numb while doing essay type questions. Score in MCQ improved a bit though. It will be just practice problems for me for next few days.
Struggling to retain the information. I am a little burnt from all the CFA 3 studying… Going to do my first Schweser exam this weekend. Oh boy its going to be a good laugh.
I was getting killed at work this week. Zero time to study and I barely looked at anything since Monday. Hoping to put in two monster days this weekend. I hate cramming, but that’s what I’m left with at this point.
Spent last night and this morning going over every single question I got wrong on every quiz that I scored >70%. Lots of stupid mistakes out there. Next up for today, do all of the questions in the study guide and then try and finish the Qbank.

I also plan to do same exercise next week till then problems from Qbank and review. I hope we all pass.
Did over 300 questions on Qbank which took damn near all day including review of everything I got wrong. I have now emptied the Qbank of all 1100 questions with a 72% average. Not great, but since it was my first look at every single question (chose the new questions only since I started two months ago) it was a little tough. Hopefully, I am scoring a little better than that when I start to seen the same concepts tested a 2nd and third time over the next 10 days.
Good progress. I took 100 questions and scored in 70s hopefully will be enough to pass the real deal
Nice! Good job ML and pupdawg. I averaged 70 on the nose when I did about 800 QBANK questions. (I skipped study session 8 and ethics since I saw it on the CFA exam). I felt a lot more ready two weeks to go for the CFA… crunch time!!!
Productivity is down today. Football season is not helping it also. Will take one MCQ mock and do some formulas and call it a day. Essay questions, Ethics, Formulas and Qbank from Monday to Friday for me. Good luck to all who is taking exam this week. Please share your thoughts on it.
74% on the MCQ portion of Exam 2. Still making some dumb mistakes. Should have probably had a 78%. I will take the 74% though. Not even going to bother grading myself on the essays, just going to keep plugging away at them. The CFA taught me that whatever I think I scored on the essays, I probably did worse. Right now, without the curve I just need to get better than half right on the essay if I do what I need to do on the MCQ. Shooting for 100 questions a day every day until my exam on the 21st. Good luck everybody!
Just got my arse handed in MCQ - 68% even though few questions were repeated from Qbank. I took one yesterday and scored 76% and felt pretty good but reality check on Sunday night. I am going to call it a day. Will review this exam in the morning at work. Essay topics for me this week with 50 problems daily. It sucks when they give you name of research and ask who did this research in their article. Can’t memorize these bast@rds name man. Good progress ML
I can’t memorize their names either. Blows. That and the ten goddamn commodity indices just aren’t getting into my head. Not enough time now anyway.
Work sure does get in the way of these exams! Struggling in the 60’s with the Qbank (shameful) and plan is four hours everyday until Thursday and then 7 hrs each for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That is the plan anyway. Life sure knows how to throw a monkey wrench into the mix. Sitting on the 21st. Wish everyone the best. Hope my calculator is up to the task.

Failing this would suck as I can’t do this anymore.
Same here. Already have to re-do Level III next year. I just really want to spend some more time with my son and getting back to real life.
Over the next week I am going to take every study found in the curriculem and write one sentence describing the finding. I’ll post it on here after.
I failed L3 in 2010 and haven’t made up my mind to take anytime soon. I will finish the program but not sure when. I think we have to compromise with CAIA designation for now (poor man’s CFA)
Thanks Tom
BTW, how many numericals do you guys think we should expect in the real exam? I think there are around 10 in each exam I have seen in Uppermark Mock.
