How are we doing?

There have not been many, but at the same time there were some questions obviously drawn directly from the formulas (like having to know what happens if the denominator gets smaller or larger). I’d go with about 15.

Yeah I don’t think there are too many. If anything I think you may see 1-2 number questions on the essay portion. If I had to guess probably 10-15% of the exam will have your calculator involved. 2-3% on mortgages 2-3% on the binominal nodes stuff 2-3% on the roll return calculation 2-3% on calculating the tranches 2-3% calculating the NOI / Loan payment Am I forgetting anything??

yes if we know the formulas, they are easy to get. They used to provide formula sheet in level I but not for level II

Just figured out the Markov transition matrix and I feel like a complete buffoon. I have no idea why it wasn’t clicking because it is one of the easiest things in the whole goddamn book! I think I need more sleep.

I need to figure out SS11 - Risk uncertainity. That is just tough

Just did exam #2 in Schweser. 72% in MC and 73% afternoon. Botched question #2 in the essay 3/10… ouch! MC was fair, but 11/17 on the ethics hurt. Anyone else with feedback?

Good score Soccer. Is that Schweser test?

Yeah. I put in a massive overview of everything after my first exam (55%). I feel more comfortable, as I only felt like there was 5-6 MC questions I could have still gotten if I knew the material a bit better.

Ugh… just got a 68% on the MCQ portion of the final review exam from Schweser. Feel awful. Somehow I managed to get a 60% on ethics. There’s some other places I obviously need to clean up as well. Taking my 30 minute break and then doing the afternoon session.

Wow ML… Me and you are on the sane study schedule. I am going to be doing that exam tomorrow after work. That’s not a bad score though! I don’t find these MC as easy as the CFA ones.

I got a 63% on the essay portion, which means a 66.5% overall. Should be passing on exam day, but really need to step up. If I had gotten my “normal” score on Ethics I would have had a 70% on the nose. Not where I want to be, but I will take a pass any way i can get it. Going to spend a few hours reviewing my mistakes and then I am going back to doing questions. I have to say this process has been a lot harder than level I. It’s not even in the same league.

I agree that level II is way harder than level I. It is more similar to level II of CFA in terms of amount of study needed. Even though there are only two books compare to 5 in CFA, material is very deep in CAIA which makes it harder. Scoring closing to 70 is nice though. As per comments from cfainnyc, exam was tough so hopefully scoring in 60s will take us through.

pupdawg did you write the exam already? I just made my final list of notes I need to memorize… still 13 pages with size 12 font… ouuf! Does anyone have trouble remembering all that info about the 5 levels of uncertainty… so much memorizing.

I took two exams from Uppermark and scored 76 and 68 in MCQ and didn’t bother to check essay answers. I need to memorize formulas and go through with 5 levels of uncertainity, binomial problems from HF and SS7, Author’s work on different articles, Essay and incorrect problems review from Qbank etc etc are still to do. It is just too much man…hard to memorize. I agree that it is one of the toughest thing to memorize. I never got the answers correct from that article on uncertainity.

Justice! Found some mistakes on the exam I took in the Ethics section and confirmed it with Schweser. Glad I am not going insane.

Which which!!! Exam #2 or #3? Just say which problem if its #3 because I haven’t doen it yet haha

Big ML - you are taking it in on wednesday, right? Are you taking days off from work?

I am taking it Wednesday. I took today off and I can’t take tomorrow. Just finished part I of Schweser exam III and got a 75%. Felt that there were a few strangely worded questions. Not sure whether it is just me or the actual exam. I’m hoping to finish all of the essay questions in Practice Exams book then go over some weak spots and make sure I have all of the formulas nailed down. Most of all I am trying not to stress out!

“Most of all I am trying not to stress out!” - This is the toughest thing not to do.
