63%, completly passed over question 4.c which appeared to be pretty easy, would have been closer to 67% if I had seen that question, sighhhhh. I also completly bombed question 8.a and all of question 9, appeasrs im starting to forget the stuff I used to have down pretty well.
AM exams: 2014 - 63% (beginning of April) 2013 - 72% 2012 - 68% 2011 - 78% 2009 - 82% (Friday night) PM tests started at 65%, and most recently got up to 83%.
My scores look almost exactly like this. I hope this is a good sign - 78.9% on the 3rd mock AM, but not yet to PM.
Someone was mentioning that the schweser is shit the higher up you go - I have to say that Level 2 was great but this level 3 is absolute shit! I’m reading it and can answer the questions they ask, but then have to remind myself “well there’s this section, and they can’t be referring to that here.” It’s just poorly worded and so frustrating - #2 PM stands out as a notable fail for Schweser IMO - I knew every section I got questions wrong on, but I go back and STILL don’t understand some of the questions after reading it enough to memorize what the topics were and what was being asked. Pathetic and infuriating for the amount of money I spent.
Yeah it was pretty difficult but not suprising - I shouldn’t have taken it while being slightly hungover, reviewing a lot of my missed questions today and they’re pretty brainless mistakes :-0
I agree it was slightly tougher, but it was possible to get a decent score. I almost flipped a table while marking that exam because I was so frustrated at the dumb mistakes I made.
I think once I can cut down on the dumb mistakes and become more confident in my answers, I can probably increase my score by 5-10% hopefully.
I feel the same. Schweser’s Level III mocks aren’t well written, are confusing at times, and they sometimes test the same material twice in some PM mocks which is highly unlikely given the breadth of testable material.
The actual CFA exams are great tests and you’re never confused reading them if you know the material, unlike Schweser. You can tell the CFA exams are very well-crafted and a lot of time went into preparing them. The Schweser stuff, while still helpful, I feel like they were slapped together without too much thought. I think they suck but I understand why they do – it’s all about the benji’s for them.
I’d actually prefer them to provide just two mocks (provided a lot of time went into writing them) than six poor mocks. Elan did this last year for Level II and their exams were excellent tests. Quality over quantity but that’s just me.
I’m not complaining. I just feel like I have better things to do preparing for June 6th than taking another Schweser mock. Old CFA AM exams, EOC’s and BB’s all the way.
