How long does Charter application take?

I got my charter today. Took 2 weeks.

Did they mention that they’re going to mail you your full-fledged CFA charterholder designation on paper as well?

You will receive your charter in mail in 8-10 weeks after you earn it digitally.

Finally - both work experience and society approved. Took exactly one week. Over and out my friends !

Most local societies only meet once a month so you are at their mercy. Submitted mine two days after the results and I’m still “under review-society”

wow that’s crazy. still under review right now (sigh). these kids…

i submitted day after and don’t have approval. Not a big deal for me but I can sympathize with those for whom it is a big deal (waiting to apply for a job)

Just got my work experience approved! Now I guess it goes to the Washington DC Society (sigh)

…runaway train never going back. wrong way on a one-way track! seem like i should be going somewhere…somehow im neither here or there…

so close…but yet so far away

Submitted on Sep 5th and still under work experience review. I’m wonder what kind of inventory system they use to review the application. FIFO, LIFO, or Random? (sigh)

What was date you submitted this to CFAI? I submitted mine on mid-day 09/06/18

Friday 9/7 at like 5PM EST. Are you thinking about doing the CAIA? I heard we as good standing CFA charterholders we are waived L1 of the CAIA exams.

maybe they go in order of who paid the most in CFA fees

Under local society review now, CFAI approved. Original submission date was 9/5/18

I read about it on their website. I don’t know if I want to do such thing after going thru CPA, CTP and CFA in 3 1/2 years. I will give the kids some of my time. But you never know because I am starting feeling bored. There must something better out there for me do to than study :-)… I think I might have spent thousands in ICE Coffee and Passion Ice Tea from Starbucks.

Haha fair enough. This is my only designation thus far so i’m itching for a “easier” exam where I can actually utilize some of this CFA knowledge skillset  Did you get your stuff approved yet?

I am still waiting. I though it would FIFO. Apparently this is not the case. I have seen people that applied before but still waiting. You said you applied 09/07 and approved. I was 09/06 and still waiting. Who knows why it takes so long?

I submitted my application 03/09/2018 and was approved yesterday. I paid membership dues and was simultaneously included in member directory.

dang you want a cookie?

It took them a week (both CFAI and society).
