these kids (CFAI) are a bunch of clowns (sigh). can’t believe i fell for their market schema to take their funky exams. trick me once (L1) shame on you. trick me twice (L2) shame on me. trick my thrice (L3) shame on you and me. can’t believe i’m not done with these tools yet…
Soon vwjetty. Very soon. Then you’ll just be into the for a few bucks a year and an annual compliance statement. The you can laugh about how much harder the exams get over time.

I finally got approved by both CFAI & Society. It took 7 business days in total.
Under Society Review now
Do they send an email when both CFAI and the local society have approved? I’m assuming yes?
i didn’t get an email. I had been checking online every few days and saw that it had changed yesterday.
of course it’s possible that my spam filter didn’t let it through although that would surprise me as I get others emails from CFAI including the one asking me where to send my charter once I had paid my dues.
i’d suggest you check online.
This is precisely why I asked… I’m tired of checking online, lol.
My friend passed level 3 this year but he applied for experience in early August to beat the rush. He got certified last Friday (Sep 7th).
btw we are from Toronto.
I’ve been checking the website, probably every 2 hours. Not sure why this process takes more than 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on what they are doing?
They probably are doing nothing with your submission. You’re simply n-th person in a queue waiting to resolve your request. Like when you are calling a support line at Telecom’s company.
submitted on Sep.6 and got approved by CFAI & local society just now! I finally became a CFA charterholder!
Submitted on Sep 5 and got the approval email on the 15th.
it took me like 2 days to be fully approved. anyway, congrats rex! u earned it!
Finally, CFAI approved it! Headed to local society… when do I pay? After local approval?
Took about 9 days from time references responded to when got the ‘you’ve officially earned your charter’ email. I’m Indianapolis local society so would assume that’s one of the ‘less busy’ societies. Not a ton of charterholders in Indiana.

i had to wait for their approval (local society). At first it said waiting on work review, then said waiting on local society review, and then got the email.
Dont sweat it, if cfai accepted you, ind certainly will too. I have no idea how their queue works but says local review could take up to 30 days. I’m sure yours will come soon.
