Hey guys, I’m new to the forum - For those people who are balancing studying with a full time schedule, when are you planning on starting your L2 studying? Also, do you guys recommend using a 3rd party guide like Schweser? For L1 I just used the CFAI books and felt very well prepared - are these extra aides worth the money? Thanks.
Will start off in the 2nd week of this month… I am not leaving anything to chance. One miss and I lose a year! Most of your other questions are answered in various threads in this forum. Just browse to see what are the tips and ideas for L2.
October. Think I’ll start with FRA & Eco and see how much dusting off I need to do before the stuff starts to sink in…Will need to revisit them without a doubt but starting with ethics will surely not engage me… For now - enjoy! The moaning, groaning, and bit$h&g will start soon enough…
Probably late September, early October. I’m working on the GMAT right now.
Plan to start in sept… as I typically require a 30 day warm up time. Also, I plan to use schweser as I used it during L-1 and felt very well prepared. Will refer to CFAI books for reference, offcourse. Adios…
today XD having no job, I have no excuse to not be developing myself professionally in one way or another. Finding a job is my full time job right now, and one way of acheiving that is through honing my skillZ
Yesterday. (No, seriously!)
Jan/10 - no other choice…I already feel behind some of you guys…

I studied for Level 1+ Level 2 (from June’ 08 to June’ 09) period with 2 months off in between after Level 1 exam. I felt well prepared going into exam hall… Not sure whether I passed L2 yet, lets see.
I’m starting this weekend 7Th of Aug til exam day (10months hope will be enough) , i don’t want to miss another day… and put my self under stress and pressure. I guess ill be using CFAI books for now till my Schweser books are ready good luck

Starting in early October. Switching gears and focusing on CAIA Level I exam in September.
Oct 1st
are you guys nuts? How much do you expect to retain in 10 months? All you are going to do is burn yourself out come April when it really becomes crunch time. Best bet is to start in Dec at the very earliest.

By February or March you guys will burn out, and you’ll be fighting to retain what you’ve learned. Take at least a few months off and enjoy the summer, and then go back and study later in the year. I’ll probably start looking at the books in November, but not actually study hard until January.
I’ll probably start studying in December. I say that now but It’ll most likely end up being early January.
I took the test in June, and less than 60 days later I probably have forgotten over 50% of the formulas.

I’m just gonna go slow with this. I’ll feel more comfortable if I’ve gone through the material at least once by December. I can burn out all I want in January and pick it up again in February or March. Yes, I am nuts.
