Life's too dangerous: prayers, if you please

Last Thursday my wife fell from her horse.

After two trips to the emergency room – one on Thursday, another on Saturday, about 10 hours total – the upshot is three broken ribs, a broken scapula, a broken transverse process on her L2 or L3 vertebra, and lots of bruises. She had a 5-inch crack in the back of her riding helmet, but no concussion (though she was disoriented for a while).

Anyway, we’d appreciate your prayers.

Thanks.

yikes. Prayers for your wife

Didn’t this already happen?

I hope she gets better soon. All this falling off horses doesn’t sound great for a 60 year old lady. Maybe it is time to look into some shorter (?) horse?

Yeah, horses are dicks.

Get well soon Mrs. Magician.

Damn. This is all from just a fall or was there additional damage?

Two years ago.

Left side then, right side this time.

She’s democratic.

AJ’s a 15-hand Arabian, so not too tall (as horses go): 5-feet at the withers.

Apparently none of it was from the fall, per se.

All if it was the result of hitting the ground after the falling ceased.

Thanks, guys.

You’re the best.

Horses are prey.

I hope your wife feels better, but maybe she should find a hobby where she doesn’t need to rely on an animal not behaving like an animal.

Praying!!!

Not the best few months for the magician family, here is to a speedy recovery.

I know it may sound stupid but thank god no permanent injury was done.My cousins wife ended up in a wheelchair for rest of her life as a result of falling from a horse and she was pretty legit in horse riding, she has barely gained the ability to walk after a series of operations.I hope your wife gets her riding ready helth asap.

Prayers for Mrs. Magician.

Prayers!

Yes, it turns out that Superman actually has two weaknesses–kryptonite and wild horses.

Get well soon!

Sorry to hear that. I wish a speedy recovery for Mrs. Magician!
