people with little kids - what is a good minivan or suv?

i got 2 toddlers who are in prime car seat age range. im looking to buy a minivan or suv that can fit 2 car seats plus 2-3 adults at a time, which probably means third row seating. factors that im considering, in order of importance - safety, space/practicality, price, driveability. anyone with kids love their cars enough to recommend to me?

is your wife going to drive it? If she’s petite it could be tough to go big. My wife is about 5 1 so when it came time to find an SUV for her the biggest she would go was an RX.

My sis has 2 kids and 1 on the way and just got a honda or toyota mini-van, don’t remember which. Vans are great with children. Since they are lower to the ground than SUVs, little kids can get in and out quicker than suvs.

Yeah I’d rather have a suburban than the Toyota/Lexus live of SUV 7 seaters because the japanese just really cram the seats into the SUV and you seldom see captain’s chairs. The new Chevy suburbans are quite nice on the inside.

I drive an Explorer Sport. Its got plenty of room for the (2) kids in the back, plus the third row if you need it.

I don’t really care for minivans. At all.

If you go with a minivan: Honda Odyssey

Spend extra to get all the bells and whistles for the kids (two tvs/dvd players). It’s basically like riding in your living room.

not a dodge journey. i’d go with a suburban. or just give up and buy a short bus. i’m on my way to doing that.
