Is that Benz the passenger version of the MB commercial vans I see driving around? Makes sense if so. Not sure if that’s available in North America though.
a BSD buddy of mine got his wife a customized conversion van to cart their 3 kids around So Cal with. They swear by it. I took a road trip to a game in it once and it was awesome. It was basically a limo.
I don’t think you can get a passenger Metris or Sprinter in the US. Mercedes would rather maintain their premium image and sell you a souped up ML… er, “GLE”. They are big in commercial vehicles outside the US though. I remember riding in a Mercedes school bus at one point.
Anyway, in terms of minivans, new Chrysler Town and Country and the Kia one are also supposed to be good. The Honday Oddyssey comes with a vaccum though. It’s hard to beat an in vehicle vaccum for convenience and fun. SUV back seats tend to be not so great, unless you choose something weird looking like Infiniti JX, or something that is just huge, like the latest GM/Ford monsters. Unless you are image concious though, I don’t see a reason to get an SUV over a minivan.
If you still live in Manhattan, it’s probably practical to get a non-luxury brand car anyway. Otherwise, the garages charge you extra, you won’t drive that much anyway, and who knows what the valets will be bumping your car into.
Just noticed you passed level 1. Congrats. Planning on knocking out 2? You have to go all the way. Then a press release is in order. "First career stripper to pass CFA Level 3 from the city of brotherly love.
I’ll nominate the Ford F-650 XUV Black Knight edition… it could be yours at the low low price of $305,000. I don’t think you could find a safer vehicle on the road, has all the practical and functional space a man could ever want. Why get your man card revoked simply because you’re trying to accomodate a growing family by buying a mini-van when you can get one of these bad boys…?
Indeed. I am undecided on level 2. I am game for the challange but my more developed career goals may not deem it worth the effort. Meanwhile, other press releases of equal novelness can already be posted. “Stripper, dressed in evening gown and 6 inch heels, trades oil in the dressing room based on her own algorithm”
I would not say, from what I have learned about trading, that both trading and stripping would suit the same kind of person. However, they are both misunderstood professions badly judged through stereotypes.
I’m quite happy with my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. Gets decent mileage, is roomy without being gigantic, handles Philly/NYC area winters with no problem, and has nice styling. If you want to drop an extra $9,000 for it to say Infiniti instead of Nissan, the QX60 is the exact same vehicle with a touch more luxury. My only complaint is a lack of Bluetooth streaming, but I understand they corrected that with the 2014 model year.
I think you can add Bluetooth steaming if the car has a usb and aux port. I bought a Bose Bluetooth adapter for my home which I use to steam music from my iPhone into an older system. Some of the reviews on Amazon say people use them in their cars. Bluetooth in, aux out. The Bose is more expense but can be powered off usb.
^^ Thanks. I connect my phone to the USB port directly and stream that way with the added bonus of the phone charging at the same time. I just found it odd that they had built-in Bluetooth for calls, but not for streaming. It would probably bother me more if I used my phone for navigation and had to have a wire running from the center arm rest to the dash.
