Hi guys, use this topic to post your results. Good luck to everyone, a couple of hours left!
Holly â– â– â– â– I passed!!!
through all the loneliness and depression glad to say I finally passed. its been a hell of a journey. this forum has been awesome. got a lot of stuff cleared off and motivation. love you guys. will stick around to help future candidates. cheers.
No passed. And my mark is far below my expectation. I guess I lost too much points on first half.
Passed. Never have I expected to be under so much stress. Cleared easily L1 and L2, this was my 3rd attempt. It is over finally!
I passed. I can’t believe it. Congrats to the others who did. I feel for those who didn’t.
Passed! Holy Moly!!! Congrats to those who did!
Don’t give up to those who didn’t!
Despite a lot of efforts put in, did not pass. As though this wasn’t enough, the devil was in details. Quite low were the scores in all topics, except for Equity & Derivatives. Now I’m wondering what went wrong!! I studied with using the Institute books and Schweser. Did blue-box and EOC questions along with online MCQs (for which scores were consistently >70% in all topics) and focused on understanding the material. I’m feeling too dejected and wonder if I can ever put in so much effort ever again (for this attempt I put in 350+ hours and this was my second attempt).
Congrats to all those passed.
Bro sorry to hear. If you’re attempting again, do NOT use scheweser. Stick to the curriculum ONLY and you’ll be fine. I screwed up my first attempt in 2019 by using schweser intensively. Switched to curriculum this time n passed. So only curriculum now. All the best.
Congratulations, Batman!

Congratulations, J!
Passed.
Should have completed this whole journey years ago but life hasn’t been easy, so many distractions over the past few years and failed twice previously as I was literally not studying at all. Last year I determined to commit into level 3 study again and that was a hell tormenting 6-month process with no social life, struggles with my “old brain” and even loss of confidence.
Glad my hard work paid off but I have to say the level 3 test was really challenging in my opinion. For those did not pass, please chin up and think about if CFA is a must for your life; if you decide to retake, please be prepared for all kinds of tricks and traps that’s all I can say.
Wish all of us the best no matter what you choose!
Materials:
- Level-Up “One & Done series” and the Bootcamp from Marc LeFebvre. My exam experience has validated ~95% what Marc has emphasized/suggested/reminded/warned. Highly recommend.
- Curriculums (Blue boxes, some exhibitions, and EOCs)
- NO mock exams taken/practiced (this is just my case, I personally didn’t find them helpful), and DID NOT use the Eco-learning system either.
Plus: This is my first time on AF (I studied all on my own, no buddy…simply painful…) and glad to see such a supportive and collaborative community here.
Passed; very grateful!
Want to share a word of encouragement to those who did not pass. I failed at my first attempt of L3 coming out of lockdown and was crushed. I let myself wallow for a day or two and then got back after it right away. I bought a small dry erase board and wrote the words “You are at WAR” and hung it on the wall by my computer so that I would see it every day, along with a photo of myself from a military deployment. I saw it every day and it reminded me to prioritize the exam. I actually “declared war” on Level 3 and wrote up a list of reasons that I needed to beat this thing and move on with my life. It was a great reminder of how I needed to approach the exam. Additionally, I switched prep providers…left Schweser and went to deep3prep.com. Grumeet was VERY helpful…couldn’t recommend him any more strongly! He only works with re-takers on L3 and his approach is very tailored. Whether you switch providers or not, treat the exam like a thing that requires you to sell out to defeat it and you’ll get that passing score. Whatever you do, don’t give up!
Congratulations, L’arbre!
