Russian/Korean Math education question

^The answer to your second question is unequivocally YES, or have you not met the “average” American? lol

For example, my mom’s advisor, Yakov Sinai, moved to the states. I know that three of my professors moved to North America either to teach or work in the industry. Lots of my classmates moved either to the US, Germany, England or France. With best professors and students moving, the quality of education will fall.

^Can’t agree more with this statement. The academic institution in Russia is crumbling, and has for the last 20-25yrs. However, the primary and secondary education remains significantly better and will continue on this way for the foreseeable future. Again, to reiterate I want to stress the fact that I am talking about K-12 education here in the US being terrible, not our colleges and universities which are obviously best in the world because they attract they world’s, and nation’s, brightest.
