No doubt that adderall works but im scared that if u use it once to study, you will always need it to study. kinda like steroids. I have a lot of studying left in my life and I don’t want to be dependent on adderall. maybe this is not the case.

Tis true that once you use it, you become somewhat dependent on it. You CAN study without it, but it takes a lot more effort, and the study time is not as high quality. That being said, the only time I ever take Adderall is when I’m studying, because studying is much more difficult than my regular work duties. And since I already have an MBA, a CPA license, and 2/3 of the CFA exam, I doubt I’ll ever do much studying again–at least not for a test like this. So I’m not really worried about being dependent on the drug, because I know I won’t be.
You have to decide for yourself if you might become dependent on it.
FWIW–I don’t see it being an “addictive” drug, but I can see how you can become dependent on it to maximize your study time.

Is it true that many western drugs are merely concentrated concoctions of naturally occuring compounds? if so would it not be better to just get the compounds from their natural source anyways?? Glad to see you are alive Mojo…so quiet lately!
I use peppermint oil to help me stay alert and focused. Whenever I feel like I’m drifting away I massage few drops into my temples and under my nose. It smells good too!

For those with diagnosed ADHD taking Adderall, try Vyvanse. For most people, even Adderall XR only last about 6 hours. My doc tried to have me take the instant release 3 times a day and then XR twice a day. The stupid thing is that you’re asking someone with ADD to remember to do something. The roller coaster effect of taking multiple pills in a day sucked too. Vyvanse is said to last 12-14 hours which is a stretch but I find it to last about 10 hours which is perfect for a solid workday.
