She actually has a website with her resume on it. If that resume happens to change or be removed in the next couple weeks…

Geez, what’s the point in saying that you’re not allowed to misrepresent you progress in the program if the only way someone is likely to be discovered is if someone writes CFAI with no hope of actually finding out any useful information for themselves. It’s only the occasional fluke where someone might know otherwise and feel like reporting it for the good of God and country. All they need to do is respond “yes or no,” she is registered as a CFA level X candidate and/or awaiting scores". After all, that’s what they do with Charterholders.
I just got proof the sh*t has hit the fan. no joke.

lets hear it
Spill it!
This is getting pretty serious, and I’m probably not going to post direct statements anymore, but given that no names are used, and no reputations have been publicly damaged, I am willing to inform everyone of what transpires. The first hint i got, was that the website I mentioned has been updated. It no longer has the L3 claim. CFAI moved really fast, since they only got the info about a day ago. I am impressed at the speed. 2. Also, I personally was told by one of the friends of the girl, that she got a call from a special investigator from CFAI and essentially demanded the edit of the claim on the resume. No word on punishment, but in my opinion, a formal letter of violation is probably being drafted right now. The CFAI website give examples of punishments, and a bunch of people that looked or gave the appearance of looking at someone’s answer sheet got either a 5 year suspension, or a permanent suspension. http://www.cfainstitute.org/ethics/conduct/Pages/candidate_sanctions.aspx I think this is even worse. You cheat on a test to pass it right? But when you don’t even make the effort and intentionally lie to say you passed, that sounds even worse…
So are you going to hire her? She’d probably be good at selling structured products.

I can neither confirm nor deny that the person was asian.
For some reason, Chinese people don’t give a f uck about lying and cheating. In B school, it was so rampant, and I know they all inflated their resumes.
Good work iteracom, people like her need to be brought down. Given the fact that she “lied” to you when you first inquired via email, she should be put on a black list (if it exists).
This story is awesome!..In regards to the Chinese, there is something about to be said about that. I lived in Vancouver for a year and there was a driving instructor that was convicted of taking over 800 bribes over the years for passing poor drivers that shouldn’t be on the roads! Example two: when I first moved out to Van, for 2 months I lived with a Chinese guy that had a house with a bunch of tenants (most would only last a month or two, people new to the city desperate for someplace to live before moving on) and he wanted to register his brand new benz under my name as the primary driver to save money on premiums! Oh man I could go on and on about this guy, if there were rules he would attempt some way to circumvent them!
I am very disappointed with the derogative generalizing comments about the Chinese in this thread. Firstly, there is no evidence of the lady being Chinese. Secondly, even if she were, it does not give any of us any right to make such generalizing comments. I have had many experiences with Chinese . Like my interactions with people of other nations all over the world, many of them were bad while others were good. It would be wrong for me to generalize my bad experiences to all the Chinese. Let’s hold us on the high grounds, guys.

I know you guys are SMARTER than that.
There’s only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures and the Dutch.
I am as Dutch as my orange pants.
Not just Chinese people cheat and lie on their resumes. Anyone can do that. Its just that Chinese people do it more and don’t give a f. Has anyone recently gone through B School or in school right now? Who are the cheaters?
