I quickly skimmed the thread before boarding the plane last weekend and stopped at numi’s post. Now I come back to read the whole thread and found out some interesting words were removed from the above part. Hehe, numi, put them back …lol
I actually saw BLack Swan’s user name and took a double take. I re-checked the date to make sure this wasn’t an old revived thread ha ha

This is the sort of thing that I think girls get frustrated with in NYC. I’m definitely not saying all guys in NYC are like this, but I have seen it. This mentality is more or less non-existant outside NYC, LA and SF (for obvious reasons). Most girls want a man, not a friend to compare shoes and outfits with.
WS kid pulling in cash from a business venture… Girls in NYC will eat this up, they will just complain when these two guys move from girl to girl.
I have to admit these shoes look pretty promising. They’re in basically the same price point as Allen Edmonds and Alden, but look better. I like the royal blue wholecuts in that article. Thinking about getting a pair of them myself if I didn’t already have too many shoes.
^ WYG, I just meant the things he was saying about shoes, kinda weird. But the overwhelming majority of fashion brands go under within a few years with little cash generated so I wouldn’t confuse a business insider article with pulling in cash.
Yeah, those same girls will b*tch about it, but also won’t have any reservations about going back for a hook-up with the same dude. Happens all the time.
It’s good to be king.

Truth. Based on everyone i know who went to tulane (sample size of 2) they are probably pretentious douches so i hope their company fails.
I don’t think NY people are intrinsically different from other people. If you live somewhere else, you will compare trucks, guns or other things. In NY, people don’t have those things, and in fact, the only material things to compare are things that are on your body. So they compare shoes, suits, etc.
And like anywhere else, there are people in NYC with interests beyond material things… Just need to look for them:)
