Respect. People are trying to give him preferential treatment as a superstar and it’s clear that two games is not enough punishment if he keeps repeating it.
I doubt they would postpone unless the stadium were deemed unsafe. The match does matter regardless of the Ghana-Portugal outcome though because it determines first place in the group. If the US were to actually win the match, they would finish first in the group.
Suarez got off really easy. Wow. Don’t see how they don’t exercise the maximum ban here. Would someone have to be a convicted murderer for that? Or maybe slap Sepp Blatter?
If we’re going by the book - I’m not sure why he even got banned, the referee didn’t give a card or discipline Suarez on the field. We’re giong off video evidence here, so why not just implement video replays? Why don’t they ban cheats caught on camera? This is just typical FIFA consistency.
I’ve read that Sepp is doing joyful backflips over the fact that they had video evidence because it helps support implementing video replays which he greatly favors.
