Suspect CFA claim on resume

Ha !!! Learn the difference between making fun/teasing someone and making racial statements. How does that amount to what you have been mentioning. Pray tell me.

(Probability of being X given cheating) = (probability of being X anyway) * [(Probability of Cheating, given being X) / (Probability of anyone being a cheater)] So it’s really about the percentage of a particular ethnic group in the population as a whole, times a factor which is basically a measure of whether one believes this group is more likely than the rest of the population to cheat or not.

Whatever, you can do what you want. I wasn’t making fun of anyone. I saw the facts, and made an educated guess. What makes you better than qqqbee? You’re a hypocrite, so maybe you should go hide behind your ugly fat fat fat wife.

Base on the facts I have, Incest is more culturally accepted to SuperiorReturn’s family than rest of the world!

Superior Return, pls. stop digging yourself deeper into the hole. You’ve done enough. It’s just unfortunate about the way you chose to express your opinion by blatantly choosing to generalize. And anyway, I do accept the fact that QQQBEE is much better than me. I don’t think this should come as a surprise. If I said I am better than him, then it’s blasphemy on my part.

Then you must be that only kid at that IT job.

if u spent more time studying than writing stupid posts, than you wouldnt be failing, sparty quit crying , if you have such a thin-skin, i guarantee you wont make it in finance good luck

Of course !!! I forgot that to make it big in finance, we all have to make generalizing statements and uneducated guesses like you. I like how you actually claim that to be an educated guess without any relevant information besides the fact that China have the most population and that cheating is culturally accepted. Good work dude. I wish I had the ability for such critical thinking. You are right. I haven’t been analyzing things as well as you and thus, been failing. Thanks for your luck, I sure will need it.

aaaand ur still going off like a lil b itch

Naa…am done. Hitting the sack. Have a good day buddy.

still early, you on the west or east coast ? what do you actually do ? in case you havent noticed, i say a lot of stuff to piss people off , lol

If cheaters never prosper & nice guys finish last, then it doesn’t matter anyway. It is best to be an honest a-hole.

SuperiorReturn - were you at a top mba program? the environment makes a big difference. where i’m at, the chinese could probably teach the courses, and have their choice of job when they go back to asia. in addition, we have strict honor code violations - two people have been expelled in the past for cheating.

fredfunk04 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > we have strict honor code > violations - two people have been expelled in the > past for cheating. I bet they were crackers. Those white folks from the US are a bunch of cheaters!

Wow, this thread really went crazy. I am only here to reiterate that at no point did I ever imply cheating was linked to Asians as a race, however I did draw CULTURAL links between China and cheating, tied to the precedent their government set for the culture in the 80’s and 90’s by flagrantly ignoring international patent law. I am in no way insinuating a bad work ethic and I honestly would believe the vast majority of Chinese are honest. I simply pointed out that the cheating ratio may be elevated in the same way corporations can create cultural dynamics internally. Although I would like to state that most of the defenders on this post are saying “well I’m not Chinese, but…” while there are quoted Chinese students and academic admin in the articles saying its a major CULTURAL problem, and that different cultural values / norms may contribute to a lack of guilt regarding the subject. I don’t believe I made any inflammatory statements here, and only tried to point out that there may be validity to the discussion, I am not taking a side. That being said, I thought superior’s Bayesian response was actually pretty clever.

In the article, a Chinese masters student at Stanford is quoted as saying: “Perhaps it’s a cultural difference but there is nothing bad or embarrassing about it,” said Mr. Lu, who started this semester on a master’s degree at Stanford University. “It’s not that students can’t do the work. They just see it as a way of saving time.” So obviously it’s not about a “need for them to cheat” per your last sentence.
