Lets take a 2 question survey to settle this: 1) Have you ever cheated? 2) Are you Chinese? 1) yes, all the time in High School. 2) nope.

In Europe cheating at school is fine and acceptable. Who cares. At business school there was a group of German students who were cheating and they were not caught, too smart with McKinsey experience. They talked during exam disturbing others, but there was no proof ever, like similar answers, etc. Actually I heard that a lot of business people in Germany order doctorate thesis cause they have no time to write it, and they cannot advance at work without it. Cultural difference as well - one needs doctor degree in Germany, master is not enough, even MBA. It seems Chinese are on the spot, because they raised the problem and started confronting it. Bad for them, now everybody thinks they are biggest cheaters because they are in the news. Well, actually I think the cultural difference there played precisely that role, for them to fight cheating. As somebody mentioned above, the universities in China are highly competitive, because of the society and because families expect too much of their children regardless of what children want. I read once in the news that violence against families is surging, as kids can’t fulfill their hopes. One kid killed the whole family after he was dismissed on his first year at the university. So they have to fight cheating, like only business schools in Europe do, because of this competitiveness. As I heard in the US cheating at school is unacceptable, even at high school. Good for you.

I mentioned Germans because somehow they have the reputation of the most honest nation. Na ja… Ok, they don’t cheat more than others, it just surprises more when they cheat.

I should probably add a jk here. I was simply copying the tone of the thread (sweet pun).

(That also included a weekend). I would imagine the violation gets reported to some committee, they establish a record and draft a formal written letter for violation. Then send it from Virginia to her. By the time she actually received the letter, it’s got to be at least a week or more. So, I doubt we’ll hear anything in the next few days even. Fastest is maybe early next week I’m on good terms with her close friends, so I’m sure I’ll get word of any news

I’m about halfway through “The Cheating Culture.” http://www.amazon.com/Cheating-Culture-Americans-Doing-Wrong/dp/0151010188 Cheaters come in all races, professions, and backgrounds. Case studies are examined from Wall Street to Sears Auto to MLB. Needless to say the current culture focus on the ends justifying the means.

So according to the earlier theory, most of the deceptive lending that caused the financial crisis was done by Chinese? Crazy!

This thread has grown into something like a repeat of a thread like two years ago about all the Chinese cheating on the GMAT’s. And what about Yao Ming? How did he get that tall? I’ve like never met a Chinese guy taller than like 5’ 3" and Yao Ming is taller than everyone else in the NBA?! Tell me that’s not some kind of cheating. And those Chinese gymnasts who said they were 14? C’mon… We have to do something about this or pretty soon we’ll have Chinese guys throwing like Syd Finch. This sucks, I’m mad, and I’m not going to take it anymore.

Two things: 1) Any news here? 2) Someone of asian heritage stole the parking spot I was eyeballing this morning, further reinforcement they cheat and steal.

Is he Chinese too?

Interesting this thread is still going on. Some of the things said in here made me utterly speechless. At one point, I thought I was on some other retarded forum.

Any updates? On the Chinese front I mean…

Bump. What happened?

So far, nothing. The CV online still says current active candidate L2. No punishment at all.
